Tobacco Road Fine Cigars & Gifts opened for business in March, 2006.

Located in Arlington, Texas (population ~380,000), a fast growing city that is about 15 miles either way between the cities of Dallas and Fort Worth.

The City of Arlington is currently the home of MLB's Texas Rangers - about 3 miles north of our shop and, very soon to be - in 2009 - the NFL's Dallas Cowboys - AND in 2011, Super Bowl XLV, also, about 3 miles north of our shop.

Our store is on Cooper Street, in South Arlington, (Cooper Street is the most traveled thoroughfare within the city), about 2 miles north of I-20 (one of the most traveled Interstate’s in the U.S.).

PHYSICAL SPECS ON OUR STORE...

We are located in a 5,000 sq ft standalone building (NOT in a Mall or in a Strip Center), that we own, with an upstairs/downstairs configuration, and a Cigar Shop that occupies the entire second floor - about 2,200 sq ft.

The first floor of the building, in a two-story atrium like area, we have a Pipe (Nording, Peterson, & Savinelli) , Pipe Tobacco & Accessories area, a customer smoking and lounge area, a Golf Art Gallery with a wide and very nice selection of golf art, and a display of antique golf clubs & golf memorabilia for sale.

Also new, located in a 1,100 sq.ft. area of the first floor, the state-of-the-art IndoorGolf Simulators where you can play, indoors, an amazingly realistic round of golf on more than 60 golf courses from around the world including; Pebble Beach, St. Andrews, Pinehurst No.2 and many more that can be found on the PGA Tour.  When not playing an actual round of golf, the Golf Simulators can be used for practice and learning with the most amazing proprietary computer technologies.  This installation will make Tobacco Road the ONLY cigar shop in the world with full scale golf simulators as part of the business.

Back to the second floor, which is committed exclusively to the business of Cigars & Accessories and our Cigar Smokers, we have two walk-in humidors  (a 12’ x 16’ and 12’ x 9’-6”), that are fully lined (walls, shelving and ceilings) in Spanish cedar, fully windowed, with ceramic tiled floors, that were designed and provided by JC Pendergast (Racine, WI).  We also use tempered glass shelving in front of the windowed areas and center islands.  Humidification systems are also provided by Jim Pendergast and company.

Next to the humidors, we have a fully humidified Storage Lockers room (a 5’ x 12’ area), for our Cigar Club members, that contains 42 solid Spanish cedar lockers.   These lockers (all individual and lockable) are for the storage of our member’s fine cigars of choice and/or their favorite ‘adult beverages’.

TOBACCO PRODUCTS & ACCESSORIES…

We currently inventory and provide for sale well over 800 different facings of cigars purchased direct from Altadis, Arturo Fuente, Ashton, Butera, CAO, Cusano, Don Pepin Garcia, Drew Estate (with the Liga Privada #9), Dunhill, Fonseca, General Cigar, Graycliff, Gurkha, Illusione, Hoyo de Nicaragua, J.Fuego, La Flor Dominicana, La Perla, Los Blancos, Miami Padilla, Oliva, Padrón, Perdomo, EO’s 601’s, Tatuaje, Toraño & many more.

Complimenting our cigar inventory, we also have a selection of over 200 accessories; humidors, humidifiers, hygrometers, ashtrays, lighters, cutters, punches, and so on.

CIGAR SMOKER’s CLUB…

Also on the second floor, we have a two room (about 1,200 sq ft) Members Club that currently has about 80 members.  The club is dedicated to its members and is open to all - with a membership.   Memberships are $150.00 to join, $30.00/month, plus optional lockers at $20.00/month.  Memberships come with a $50.00 store credit.  “First Responders” (Fire, Police, EMT) and Retired Military members have discounted memberships.

Our Cigar Club’s amenities, for members and their guests, include;

Big Screen Hi-definition television, plus 2 other televisions to help ensure ‘adequate’ sports coverage during the Cowboys, Mavericks, Stars, Rangers, Texas Longhorns, Texas A&M Aggie, TCU Frogs, or NASCAR televised sporting events.

Our members have full access to the Internet via WiFi, a networked B&W/color printer, and a FAX machine.

Our members also receive notice of un-advertised specials & discounts, and regular member discounts on cigars, boxes, bundles & accessories.

We also have for our members; a full-sized pool table, darts area, chess & checker boards, and regularly scheduled Texas Holdem’ nights and tournaments.  We also offer complimentary draft beer and snacks while visiting in the Cigar Club area.  Members and their guests have BYOB privileges.

EVENTS & ACTIVITIES…

Tobacco Road Fine Cigars & Gifts is OPEN 7 days a week, 9am ‘til 10pm (Sundays, noon ‘til 9pm).  We like to hold 1 to 2 events per month (open to all) and an additional event (or so) each month for our Cigar Club members & guests only.  We currently use email (about 1,500 addressees) as our method of choice for event notification and unadvertised specials.
